I have a very similar problem with my name. It is Monika. People no matter how many times I correct them say MON- ika. It is the Swedish version and pronounced Mawn- ika. I always say to people say lawn- ika then say Mawnika. Still call me Mon- ica. Even if I say hi it’s Mawn- ika. It has gotten to the point where I introduce myself as Monica bc that is what they insist on calling me.

I stayed till the very end....it’s like.... ya know what I mean? Lol. That was so fun!!!
